可以还原使用旧版本 RMAN 所创建的备份,最旧版本为 9.2.0.8。在创建备份的数据库版本与还原备份的数据库版本之间必须有支持的升级路径存在。比如,源数据库的版本为 11gr2 并且配置使用 spfile 参数文件。数据库启用了归档与快速闪回区。控制文件也被配置为自动备份。对源数据库创建了 RMAN 备份,并且包含了归档重做日志。要还原这些备份的主机上运行的是 Oracle 12cr2 的数据库版本。
还原使用旧版本 RMAN 所创建备份到当前目标数据库版本 (12.2) 的操作步骤如下:
1. 验证创建备份的数据库版本与还原备份的数据库版本之间是否存在升级路径。例如,将 Oracle 11.2.0.4 所创建的 RMAN 备份还原到 Oracle 12.2,那么必须支持从 11.2.0.4 升级到 12.2,根据 Oracle 的升级指南,11.2.0.3 及以后版本可以直接升级到 Oracle 12.2。

12. 在目标主机上将源数据库的备份文件注册到 rman 档案库中。如果目录中的所有文件有共同的前缀,那么可以使用 catalog start with 命令。如果想要单独指定文件名来进行注册,那么执行 catalog datafilecopy 命令。我这里所有的备份文件存储在 /ora_xtts/rman 目录中,因此使用 catalog start with 命令进行注册。

13. 还原与恢复源数据库
如果数据文件要被还原到目标主机上的目录与源数据库所在的目录不相同,那么必须使用 set newname 命令来对还原的数据文件指定新的目录路径。如果联机重做日志将创建在与源数据库不相同的目录中,那么必须使用 alter database rename file 命令来为每个联机重做日志指定新的目录路径,在这里使用 set newname for database 命令来为所有被还原的数据文件指定新目录,新的联机重做日志文件使用 alter database rename file 命令来指定,并且指定恢复目标 scn。

14. 使用 resetlogs 与 upgrade 选项来打开数据库
